MY STORY

How the Heck Did a Presbyterian Minister End Up Jewish and Metaphysical?

It all started with a BA in Chemistry and a Master of Divinity, serving as a Presbyterian minister in hospital

and hospice chaplaincy.

Life had a divine twist in store for me—during and after seminary I studied Wicca and Tarot which led me to explore Jewish Kabbalah. I absolutely fell in love with Judaism, left the church, converted to Judaism, and pursued a Master in Jewish Studies to understand Biblical texts through a Jewish lens.

I believe that since God doesn’t fit in a box, neither should our spiritual paths. This belief guides my work, weaving together Torah, Kabbalah, and Tarot to empower others spiritually.

For over 30 years, I've been a spiritual teacher and coach, integrating diverse spiritual paths in my teachings.

I focus on "Everyday Mysticism" to bring esoteric teachings into our daily reality.

THINGS PEOPLE ASK ABOUT WORKING WITH ME

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be Jewish or believe in God to work with you?

Not at all! My approach welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs. You don't need to be Jewish or adhere to any specific religious views to benefit from my teachings. My focus is on spiritual growth and personal empowerment, tailored to your unique path.

How do you use Tarot in your practice? Is it fortune telling?

I do not use Tarot for fortune telling. Instead, I view Tarot as a descriptive, not predictive. It describes the energies and patterns currently at play in your life and where they might be leading you. However, you always have free will to shift the direction of where things are heading, empowering you to make informed choices.

What does it mean to "Bring Kabbalah into Tarot"?

I teach:

The connection of the Tarot suits to the Four Worlds of Kabbalah.

The correlation of the Ace - 10 cards to the 10 Sephirot of the Tree of Life.

The mapping of the Major Arcana to the 22 paths of the Tree of Life

The correlation of the Major Arcana to the 22 Letters of the Hebrew Alphabet

Emphasis is on practical application and how to integrate these esoteric teaching into daily life.

This approach not only honors tradition but also provides a deeper, more meaningful journey for those exploring Tarot for spiritual growth.

What kind of learning experience can I expect?

My teaching style is relaxed but focused, and I strive to create a space where you can feel safe to grow and challenge yourself. The learning experience is communal, where everyone contributes to creating an enriching environment for personal and spiritual development.

Spirit With Science

As a former Presbyterian minister turned Jewish convert, I blend my spiritual insights with a scientific background—holding a BA in Chemistry and having worked as a Medical Sonographer in perinatal medicine. I love using both sides of my brain!

Fun Facts About Me

No one likes a stranger, so here are some fun facts about me. From my journey through diverse spiritual paths to my love for learning and storytelling, these tidbits offer a glimpse into more of who I am.

Preemie Mom

I'm the proud mother of a micro preemie who weighed just 1lb 12oz at birth and spent 5 months in the NICU. Despite some challenging patches during her younger years, she is now a happy and healthy young teen!

Books, Books,

My passion for reading is immense, especially non-fiction, but a few fiction authors have captured my heart as well. I find joy in myths, stories, symbols, and archetypes—whether they're in books, movies, or oral traditions.

Love Learning

I love to learn. For real. I've been called a "pathological learner" and for fun I'll take classes to learn something new. I know, I know! That makes me a certified nerd and I wear that badge proudly.

"genuine, welcoming, and warm"

Come as you are, question as you need: she makes it feel like an obvious fact that we've all got something to provide and learn.

Her Kabbalistic tarot class was my draw in and a highlight in my month, but I did not expect the opportunity to nurture my spirituality & Jewish roots that also have come from the wonderful time I've spent in study and conversation with Linda
